And as S-Club 7 once said "Reach for the stars"

If you're joining me on my second blog post welcome. Although i'm highly aware i'm probably just talking to myself. But that ok. I can rock with that. This blog has got me thinking. What do I want to do with all this new space that i've created. I feel like essentially i've just unplugged the USB from my brain and need to import all my thoughts. And i'm not talking just regular stuff like "Do I want avocado on toast tomorrow morning for breakfast" which I totally do. But, deeper stuff, like what would I like to achieve by the end of 2021 (and i'm saying 2021 because i've started this new years resolution a tad late). What new habits do I want to adopt. How can I live a more healthier life style. McDonalds may be good for the soul but it definitely isn't benefitting my health.

As we established in my first blog, I can have a tough time focusing. As I said in order to stick at something I really have to enjoy it. So throughout the course of my time here, I will probably change my mind more times than I could count. But I have to have a starting point. The road to self love, care and improvement.

So i guess I can start small. Because if I can stick to these then I can slowly aim higher. Just FYI though, I'm talking so small that they count as baby steps. So here we go my 3 new habits I plan to integrate into my routine:

  1. DRINK MORE WATER: Yes, I told you it was baby steps. According to an article on https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/how-much-water-should-you-drink-per-day#1 I should be drinking 2 litres of water a day. 4 of my water bottles, that seems achievable. I can get quite tired and i'm guessing its down to dehydration. Especially in the heat over here in Australia at the moment. Its the hottest day of an english summer every day of the week, even the rainy days!

  2. TAKE A MINDFUL MOMENT: One thing i do but don't do enough of is meditation. I never understood it at first. However, taking even just 5 minutes a day to be still and relax your mind can be the most beneficial thing for stress and anxiety. Sometimes your body can be stressed without even realising it, or so at-least so i've read in a few articles on google.

  3. PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN EMILY: I can get sucked into my phone, in fact to the point where i've watched about 20 episodes of Gordon Ramsey's kitchen nightmare before I realise its 30 minutes past the bed time i've set for myself. Can anyone relate to this? Where as I think back to when I was younger, we're going back to the 2000s. I had my Sony Ericsson flip phone that consisted on snake, messages and phone calls, all which were on a pay as you go sim which I somehow I made £10 last 3 months at a time. WIFI and 4G did not exist on this thing, and if it did I was very unaware of it. So 1 hour before bed, I am going to TRY and not touch my phone. Emphasis on try.

If on the 1% chance anyone is actually reading this feel free to leave a comment and let me know if you're creating some healthy habits, you might be able to suggest something I haven't thought of yet!
